In 1987 the Riverside Health Foundation was founded as a non-profit charitable corporation the goal to assist the Medical Center in providing 'Quality Care Close to Home' through the purchase of equipment and improvements in the facility.
Foundation projects include a long list of equipment that includes the purchase of cardiac monitors, stress test equipment for Respiratory Therapy, Rehabilitation Services equipment, a bone densitometer in Radiology, and a medication dispensing system, and the construction of a helipad and the financial support for a new ThedaStar helicopter.
The Foundation administers the Dr. Marshall and Mary Boudry Memorial Scholarship, the Nancy B Salan Memorial Nursing Scholarship and the Isabelle Rowe Nursing Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding area high school students pursuing a career in healthcare, and non-traditional students pursuing a career in nursing.
